Nevertheless, each lab and POC testing program has individual requirements and each AegisPOC implementation requires its own implementation cycle including needs analysis, project planning, installation and training, validation & go-live and finally on-going maintenance and support.
Implementation is a site-specific process, involving several iterations between the client and the AegisPOC System Implementation Specialist team. Implementation tasks typically addressed include: modifications to existing test workflows (if required but rare), instrument interfacing and configuration for automated result data collection and exceptions analysis, site-specific reporting, and interfacing AegisPOC with internal or external business systems and applications such as LIS, HIS or EMR systems.
The AegisPOC System Implementation team follows industry best practices for project management and all team members are experts in all aspects of the application and provide industry best implementation and support of the system.

AegisPOC Implementation - Consulting & Needs Analysis
Every hospital has unique requirements for their POC and Critical Care connectivity and information management programs. Our consultative account managers have the expertise to help you define your needs, understand where improvements can be made and the properly define and propose the right AegisPOC options to meet those requirements.
AegisPOC Implementation - Project Planning
The project planning phase involves a kickoff meeting to define or review requirements, implementation goals, milestones, objectives and staffing requirements. The AegisPOC System Implementation team prepares detailed documents to define the project scope (Statement of Work, Project Plan and Work Breakdown Schedule and Timelines).

AegisPOC Implementation - Installation & Training
During this phase your AegisPOC System Implementation Specialists will install the AegisPOC software, configure and modify it based on the before mentioned requirements and project plan, work on implementation of any device connectivity and host system interfaces and much more. During this phase the client is also trained on the functional use of the AegisPOC application. Your AegisPOC System Implementation Specialist will train all users that will have access to the application and training is tailored to the specific users duties and workflow within the application. All training is conducted on-site to ensure a comfortable and effective training maximizing the likelihood of a successful go-live.
AegisPOC Implementation - Validation & Go-Live Phase
Upon completion of software installation and training your AegisPOC System Implementation Specialist will work directly with the hospital to implement the validation process including testing of device to AegisPOC connectivity, host system interfaces, functional and report aspects of the application and more. Upon completion of validation go-live can occur. Go-live is typically defined as the "turning on of the switch". At this point the client is using the AegisPOC system to manage their various POC devices, results, operators and more. The AegisPOC System Implementation team is their upon go-live to ensure a smooth transition and to manage any issues that might arise quickly.
Once the implementation project is completed and go-live occurs a wrap-up meeting is conducted to review the project and to evaluate its success in meeting all goals and objectives. At this point the on-going maintenance phase begins.
Ongoing Maintenance & Support
The AegisPOC Software Maintenance and Support Agreement provides customers unlimited 24-7-365 toll-free telephone and remote support, customization of reports or the graphical user interface as needed and software updates as they become available, ensuring that systems remain current and equipped with the latest technological and functional developments. AegisPOC also has built-in backward compatibility, so that customers’ investment in internal logic or customizations is never compromised.
